Description

The main aim of imaginative texts is to entertain the reader through creative imagination and literary techniques. Rather than focus on the grammatical features of this type of text, these units aim to support planning and story development to assist children to get their ideas on to paper. Once drafting has occurred, students can be encouraged, through prompting to add more detail in their second draft. This helps students develop the writing process.
